Chateau St Victor la Coste is genuinely wonderful and very special. It is in a village untouched by tourism, sleepy and beautiful. Surrounded by Cote de Rhone vineyards and forests, this is a world away from the excess or glitz of the Cote d’Azur and is definitely for the more discerning Francophile, looking for a south of France long remembered and not often found. It is situated on the border of Provence and Languedoc with balmy temperatures extending the season and wonderful local produce for gourmandes! Local wines include Chateauneuf des Papes, Gigondas, Lirac and Tavel. This is a property for the connoisseur, the aesthete, and those wanting peace and tranquility yet also part of a charming small village with amenities to hand.
The Chateau and its cottages come fully equipped with all modern comforts. There are two fully functional kitchens (one with a Lacanche Piano with three ovens) and fabulously comfortable beds with high quality cotton bedding and organic bath products by Maison Caulieres, comfortable salons all having access to intriguing terraced gardens with old deliciously scented roses, plumbago, hortensia, jasmine and lavender with the backdrop of the old Castellas. The cottages surround the very beautiful stone pool (6m x 15m) with columns and statues. Our pool is heated and uses no harsh chemicals being hydrolysed magnesium which generates added health benefits and feeling of well being.
